What does it mean to study in the Humanities Faculty?

Humanities, according to Britannica (2014), are the “branches of knowledge that concern themselves with human beings and their culture”. Therefore, studying in the humanities faculty of a university means that students will be studying topics relating directly to humans, such as psychology or theology. It is important to note that humanity students are educated during the duration of their studies to obtain skills that enable them to relate to people from different classes, ethnicities, ages, and genders- this allows students to gain valuable intrapersonal and interpersonal knowledge, such as self-reflection, values, and informed perspectives (Van Wyngaard, 2025).
